Position Summary:
Responsible for courteous, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service at banquet events.
Essential Functions:
· Review Banquet Event Order for schedule of daily functions.
· Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
· Complete all sidework and related cleaning duties.
· Prepare banquet rooms for assigned functions.
· Prepare, deliver, and refresh coffee stations.
· Serve meals.
· Perform both opening and closing procedures.
· Maintain appropriate levels of food and beverage items.
· Set-up/break-down buffet or other special food service tables/equipment.
· Ensure that all doors and equipment are locked securely, everything is turned off and keys are returned.
· Display knowledge of basic bar terminology and wine service.
· Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keep work area neat and organized.
· Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
· Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
· Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
· Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
- Knowledge and understanding of quality food service techniques and standards.
- Exceptional guest service skills.
- Ability to:
· Work with minimal supervision.
· Work any day of the week and any hour.
· Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
· Work as part of a team.
· Communicate effectively.
· Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
· Multi-task and work well under pressure.
