Position Title: Baker

Job Details:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Essential job duties & responsibilities:

• Preparing our entire line of vegan baked goods using written recipes and preparation procedures.

• Decorating, cutting, and neatly presenting all prepared baked goods.

• Safely handling large commercial bakery equipment and kitchen utensils, including ovens, mixers, food processors/blenders, dishwashers, and stove tops.

• Contributing to daily cleaning responsibilities of the commercial kitchen, including maintaining and organizing prep stations and understanding the proper use of cleaning products.

• Completing custom orders to ensure customer specifications and requests are met.

• Ensuring all food handling operations are in accordance with state and federal food safety laws and sanitation standards.

• Rotating stock of refrigerated and frozen ingredients using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

• Training other associates as needed.

• Assisting in other duties as assigned.

• Reliable and dependable

• Must have excellent time management skills and must be able to prioritize work.

• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-volume environment.

• Must be detail orientated.

• Ability to multi-task

• Must be punctual.

• Ability to adhere to recipes.

• Must be a team focused and a collaborator.

• Vegan knowledge preferred, but not required.

• Knowledge and experience of working with yeasted and sourdough bread.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Environmental &Physical Demands:

• Standing

• Carrying & lifting up to 20 lbs.

• Reaching

• Ability work in changing temperatures these can be hot or cold.

Bakery Café Schedule:

• 8-hour shift

• Monday to Friday

• Weekend availability

Work Location:

• In-person

• Chatsworth, CA

• Applicants must have a reliable means of transportation.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-year: Experience in Baking and decorating (required)

• Minimum 1-year: High-Volume Baking (required)

Requirements:

• Minimum - Must have high school diploma or GED

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
