Highlights: Summary: The Registered Respiratory Therapist shall perform duties involved with the treatment, management control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. The Therapist shall all routine and complex respiratory care procedures to patients of all ages. Communicates with Physician and Respiratory team on patient's progress within the care plan; as well as to make recommendations regarding patient's progress. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Respiratory Therapy required, Bachelor's of Science in Respiratory Care preferred. If credentialed after 2002, must maintain active membership status for credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care. License / Certification: Active ASBRT LRT required, Active NBRC RRT required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. • Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints. • Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
