Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our compassionate wellness team. We will supply the private room, massage table and linens, you will need to supply your own massage oils, lotions and other needed supplies. You will be able to set your own schedule within our allotted time availability for the room, and you set your own pricing. You simply pay The Healing Cottage a Room Rental fee monthly. Your expertise in various massage techniques and thorough understanding of physiology will help clients achieve their health and relaxation goals. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, pain points, and treatment goals.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care, stretching exercises, and wellness practices to enhance results.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information using professional terminology.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and following all health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns and provide personalized treatment plans that support pain management and relaxation.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments.
- Must obtain Independent Business Insurance (we can assist with this)
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of occupational health standards and pain management techniques.
- Previous experience in med spa or clinical settings is a plus.
- Ability to assess client needs accurately and develop tailored treatment plans that promote healing and relaxation.
