We’re looking for a remote Business Development Manager in the HVAC tools, field equipment or building materials industry based in California.
This is a field based role focused on creating and converting opportunities across Southern California and the Western U.S. Our client is a growing supplier of contractor focused HVAC and refrigeration tools and is now focused on building demand beyond distribution. The Business Development Manager will drive growth by opening doors, building relationships with contractors and end users, and owning territory performance in a high accountability environment.

Business Development Manager responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth across Southern California and the Western U.S. territory
- Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities
- Build demand with contractors and end users while supporting distributor partners
- Conduct job site visits, branch visits, and product demonstrations
- Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned to sales targets
- Build relationships with distributors, contractors, and technical users
- Maintain strong pipeline discipline and consistent follow up activity
- 5 years of sales experience in HVAC, building materials, industrial tools, or similar industries
- Experience calling on contractors, distributors, or end users
- Strong business development and territory growth capability
- Comfort working independently in a remote, field based role
- Proven ability to generate new business and deliver results
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Base salary of $80,000 – $90,000 depending on experience, plus performance based incentive tied to new business growth
