Are you a licensed cosmetologist (or barber) in the state of Arizona looking to join a team of amazing individuals doing amazing things and grow in a new position? We are seeking an outgoing, detail oriented, punctual, dedicated and client focused individual confident in the skills they possess to join our team at The Headspa Prescott as we continue to grow.
The position open will require Mondays, weekends and holidays, as well as the option to fill in as needed. Some additional weekday shifts may be available periodically as well. Hours are based on client bookings and not guaranteed. Paid hands-on team focused training will be provided to qualifying applicants. Our spa packages start at $115 and up which means great opportunities for high tips as you gain client following/experience in the field.

The head spa specialist position emphasizes techniques designed to promote client relaxation and holistic well-being through performing Japanese-inspired techniques with advanced massage/scalp therapies to improve hair health and promote overall wellness and rejuvenation. The role of head spa specialist provides a pathway for professional growth and skill enhancement. Head-spa Specialist candidates *MUST* hold a current/valid cosmetology (or barber) license in the state of Arizona.
The position of head spa specialist will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your skills in various areas of cosmetology, including hair cleansing/conditioning/scalp massage, face/neck/hand/shoulder massage, facials, hair styling/blow outs and more.
NOTE: Pay listed includes expected tips, and is DOE (in headspa services specifically).
Duties
- Client Consultations: Assess client needs, address inquiries, and recommend suitable treatments.
- Head Spa Treatments: Perform signature head spa services, including scalp massages and deep cleansing / conditioning therapies.
- Blow-Dry/Blowouts/Styling: Create polished looks such as sleek, wavy, or voluminous styles post session.
- Luxurious Ambiance: Maintain a relaxing, high-end setting that ensures clients feel pampered, grounded and extremely relaxed.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations.
- Client Education: Share tips and recommend products for effective at-home hair and scalp care from our high-end line of products.
- Utilize salon software such as Vagaro for appointment scheduling and client management.
- Manage/promote retail sales of beauty products.
- Conduct product demonstrations and upsell services to enhance client experience.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the industry.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive work environment and exceptional customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid/current cosmetology or barbering license in the state of Arizona.
- Additional licenses/certifications a plus ex: massage etc.
- Customer Service Excellence: Outgoing/Confident personality, Strong interpersonal skills to provide personalized, warm and friendly service to ensure a positive client experience with every service.
- Experience with hair and voluminous blow out techniques/styling.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent employer/employee communication skills/availability to ensure a streamlined and efficient booking experience for clients.
- Ability to work closely with other licensed members of our team to develop the skills necessary to perform head spa sessions.
- Collaborate with other licensed team members to continuously improve the services we offer.
- Familiarity with scalp care/massage is a plus but not required.
- Background in massage and/or aesthetics is very advantageous.
