What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Tech Aide position at The HCS Group?
We are currently seeking a full-time MRI Tech Aide to support our new service route in Standish and other locations as needed based on business needs.
The MRI Tech Aide provides essential support to the MRI team by assisting with patient care and ensuring efficient, safe operations within the imaging environment. This role works under the direction of the MRI Technologist and plays a key part in patient transportation, preparation, screening, and overall workflow. Additional responsibilities include clerical support and maintaining a clean, organized MRI suite.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with patients and staff. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong commitment to patient safety and care. Priority will be given to candidates with experience starting IVs.
Schedule: Must be available to work on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between the hours of 630 am and 7 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain MRI procedures to patients and ensure compliance with all MRI safety standards.
- Assist with patient screening, preparation, and positioning on the MRI table.
- Escort patients to and from the MRI scan area with professionalism and care.
- Assist the MRI team with room turnover and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Perform clerical duties related to patient processing and clinical documentation.
- Support required state reporting and documentation.
- Follow all physician and MRI Technologist instructions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in patient care preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical and technical aptitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to established ethical and conduct standards.
