What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Tech Aide position at The HCS Group?
An MRI Tech Aide conducts patient care as directed by the MRI Technologist. Participates in transportation, preparation, and screening of MRI patients, also responsible for clerical and housekeeping duties. The MRI Tech Aide is responsibilities include following Physicians' and MRI Technologist instructions, explaining the MRI procedure to patients, positioning patients on the MRI table, escorting patients to and from the scan area.
To be a successful MRI Tech Aide, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be sensitive to the needs of the patients. You should show attention to detail and be able to work in a team. We are seeking candidates who have reliable transportation and can freely move between sites local to Alpena and Standish on a regular rotation. Only candidates who can work all locations will be considered for interviews.
Schedule: Must be flexible to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekends, and willing to work at different locations.
MRI Tech Aide Responsibilities:
· Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
· Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
· Assist MRI team with room turnover.
· Performs clerical duties involved in processing patients and maintaining clinical documentation.
· Other duties as assigned.
MRI Tech Aide Requirements:
· Experience with patient care
· Attention to detail, mathematical skills, and technical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to perform all responsibilities as a professional with diligence to established professional codes of conduct and ethics
