Job Description:
Senior-level technical position responsible for maintaining secure and robust IT infrastructure environments. This role involves network administration, system security, disaster recovery, and leading infrastructure projects while providing expert-level technical guidance to team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide and update documentation of network and operating procedures and guidelines
- Perform security assessments and provide recommendations for existing configurations
- Ensure a secure and robust environment for the administration system
- Perform maintenance on servers and desktops
- Perform patch/security updates to physical and virtual servers
- Ensure proper security protocols and guidelines are followed
- Protect the network from vulnerabilities
- Monitor and perform replication, backups, and recovery
- Monitor, improve, and maintain disaster-recovery environments
- Use project management tools and techniques to implement new initiatives
- Report project status
- Work with end users or lower-level staff to achieve common goals
- Perform cost/benefit analysis of proposed IT projects
- Provide system analysis/troubleshooting by reviewing logs and working with application teams on production issues
- Lead projects for infrastructure and systems upgrades/implementations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Senior level position, typically 7 years of experience
- Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field
- Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems
- Influences others to achieve objectives
- Provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset
Role Details:
Location: Prudhoe Bay, Alaska
Schedule: 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off (12hr/days)
Pay: $83.00 - $97.00/Hr
Salary : $83 - $97
