Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure physical security measures are in place.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential security threats.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical incidents, or security breaches.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or irregularities for future reference.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of the onboarding or screening process.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations.

Requirements

• Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control technology, and physical security best practices.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking.
• Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and fire safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and interact professionally with diverse individuals.
• Valid certifications in firearm handling (if applicable), conflict de-escalation, and compliance with security regulations are advantageous.
