In this role, you will be responsible for overall project profitability and client satisfaction, both during execution and post-completion. You are accountable for all aspects of project performance, including business development, design, construction, financial management, scheduling, quality, contractual obligations, and administration, while ensuring alignment and balance between design and construction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales
    • Assembles and leads proposal response team and develops the proposal strategy and budget
    • Manages and coordinates response efforts for RFQ, RFP, and preparation of proposals
    • Writes/reviews/edits proposal content
    • Reviews/edits design, scope, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules
    • Establishes prices and fees
    • Leads presentation of proposal and prospect follow-up
    • Negotiates contract terms with clients
  • Delivery
    • Directs preparation of conceptual estimate and periodic revisions thereto
    • Develops procurement and delivery strategy and schedules
    • Authorizes advance procurement of long-lead items where advantageous, securing client authorization as necessary
    • Leads design kick-off meeting. Directs overall project design and permitting activities, working through A/E Project Principal
    • Assures that conceptual estimate is used as a basis for project design
    • Leads client design review meetings
    • Reviews drawings and specifications prior to each issuance
    • Establishes a broad, overall strategy for construction
    • Approves construction project management organization and assignment of key individuals
    • Orients Construction Project Manager, when assigned, to project objectives, strategies, and client relationships
    • Directs preparation of, and approves all schedules including design schedule, master project schedule, construction progress schedule, and periodic schedule revisions
    • Makes key decisions affecting schedule, consulting with clients as appropriate
    • Directs preparation of and approves detailed cost estimates
    • Assists in the resolution of discrepancies or conflicts between conceptual and detailed estimates
    • Participates in the construction kick-off meeting
    • Review project status, budget, and schedule with the Construction Project Manager on a regular basis
    • Participates in client changes and negotiations as needed
    • Reviews Summary Cost Reports
    • Visits the project site periodically. Solicits client feedback
  • Post Delivery
    • Leads team feedback and lessons learned sessions
    • Develops post-completion client follow-up strategy, including major warranty/rectification items and pursuit of repeat business opportunities

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience

  • Manages and maintains project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

  • Licenciatura en Ingeniería, Administración de la Construcción, Negocios o campo relacionado (requerida)
  • Más de 10 años de experiencia en gestión de proyectos, incluidos proyectos grandes o complejos
  • Experiencia previa liderando equipos multidisciplinarios (requerida)
  • Experiencia en entornos de ingeniería, construcción o proyectos industriales (altamente beneficiosa) Conocimientos, Habilidades, Licencias y Certificaciones:
  • Fuertes habilidades de liderazgo, comunicación y toma de decisiones

"Dans ce rôle, vous agirez à titre de Directeur de projet, responsable de diriger, gérer et superviser des projets importants et complexes, de la conception à la réalisation. Vous fournirez une orientation stratégique, assurerez l’alignement avec les objectifs organisationnels et guiderez des équipes multidisciplinaires afin de livrer des résultats de haute qualité dans les délais et budgets établis. Ce poste exige de solides compétences en leadership, communication et expertise technique. Responsabilités du poste :

  • Fournir leadership, stratégie et orientation générale pour les projets assignés
  • Superviser la planification, l’échéancier, le budget et l’allocation des ressources du projet
  • Servir de point de contact principal pour les clients, les parties prenantes et la haute direction
  • S’assurer que toutes les phases du projet respectent les exigences contractuelles, réglementaires et les normes de l’industrie
  • Diriger des équipes multidisciplinaires incluant ingénierie, construction, opérations et fonctions de soutien
  • Gérer les risques du projet, identifier les enjeux de manière proactive et mettre en œuvre des stratégies d’atténuation
  • Superviser les négociations contractuelles, activités d’approvisionnement et gestion des fournisseurs
  • Examiner et approuver la documentation du projet, rapports, propositions et livrables techniques
  • Suivre les indicateurs de performance et assurer le respect des normes de qualité, sécurité et opération
  • Faciliter la communication entre équipes internes, partenaires externes et direction
  • Soutenir le développement du personnel, la performance des équipes et le mentorat des membres du projet
  • Représenter l’organisation lors de réunions, présentations et discussions de haut niveau
  • Toute autre tâche connexe Formation/Expérience :
  • Baccalauréat en génie, gestion de la construction, administration ou domaine connexe (exigé)
  • Plus de 10 ans d’expérience en gestion de projets, incluant des projets importants ou complexes
  • Expérience préalable dans la direction d’équipes multidisciplinaires (exigée)
  • Expérience en environnement d’ingénierie, construction ou projets industriels (un atout important) Connaissances, compétences, permis et certifications :
  • Excellentes compétences en leadership, communication et prise de décision
  • Maîtrise des méthodologies de gestion de projets, budgétisation et planification
  • Connaissance de logiciels de gestion de projets tels que MS Project ou Primavera (souhaitée)
