Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor claims related to general liability, workers’ compensation, builder’s risk, and subcontractor default insurance
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, TPAs, legal counsel, and project teams to ensure proper claims handling
- Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation in accordance with company policies
- Analyze claims data to identify trends, root causes, and areas of risk exposure
- Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to senior management
- Recommend improvements to claims handling procedures and risk mitigation strategies
- Support training initiatives for project teams on claims prevention and reporting
- Serve as a liaison between construction operations, legal, finance, and insurance providers
- Provide guidance on insurance coverage, policy interpretation, and claims best practices
- Travel as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field. 5–7 years of experience in construction claims, preferably in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction operations and insurance policies (GL, AL, WC, Builder’s Risk, SDI)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, claims management systems, and risk analysis tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Establish goals of “excellency” in work product and ability to constantly strive toward that
