Duties
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and organizing dishware storage spaces regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or assembling ingredients when needed to support culinary staff.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during busy service hours.
- Follow food handling safety protocols to uphold hygiene standards at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a restaurant, hotel, catering service, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations including bussing tables and food handling is advantageous.
- Experience with food preparation or banquet service can be an asset for supporting diverse culinary needs.
