Janitorial Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial & industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, lunch room and common areas.
• Perform industrial cleaning tasks such as buffing floors and managing waste disposal.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to effectively perform duties.
• Assist with custodial duties as needed, including floor care and basic maintenance tasks.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
• Maintain air conditioning filters on a monthly basis

Experience

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care procedures, including buffing and polishing.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or residential painting is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
