The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Financial Services Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Budget and Cost Accounting, the Financial Services Coordinator will perform various activities in support of the Financial Services Department. This position will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties to the support Financial Services Department. Often this position will serve as principal liaison to administrative functions. Receiving, tagging, and tracking of agency assets will be done in accordance with established agency policies, procedures, Uniform Grant Management Standards and the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Estimated Useful Lives of Depreciable Hospital Assets guidebook. Additionally, maintain documents in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), while adhering and embodying the principles of integrity, professionalism, customer service and teamwork.

Your Role In Action
- Receive, tag, track Agency assets in relation to purchase order, and accordance with established agency policies and procedures.
- Document the receipt, addition, transfer, merge, move, disposal, and any other transaction an asset may undergo during its existence.
- Support the documenting, auditing and depreciation of Agency assets.
- Maintain primary and secondary documents according to GAAP principles.
- Enter data regarding asset transactions into the agency’s fixed asset electronic system.
- Be highly organized and vigilant in the maintenance and filing of primary and secondary financial documents.
- Serve as primary check and cash office receipts and deposits.
- Functions as the recording secretary according to departmental/organizational procedures.
- Researches, prepares and sends accurate reports as assigned.
- Works with others in a collaborative manner; actively participates as a member of the team.
- May prepare and processes purchase vouchers, payroll, budget adjustments, personnel requisitions & other internal forms in accordance with organizational departmental procedures.
- Acts as Fixed-Asset Designee for Financial Services.
- Track keys & issue the same to approved employees.
- Maintain departmental directory & emergency contact information.
- Handle mail stamp outgoing and incoming correspondence and distribute incoming mail.
- Performs related work as assigned; adapts to changing working requirements; flexible to meet ongoing needs of the Agency
What qualifications you will need:
- High School Diploma or General Education diploma.
- Four years of progressive office administrative secretarial experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proficiency in computer software programs, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully.
- Proficiency in established record keeping, filing, and purchasing processes and practices.
- Have working knowledge and understanding of agency policies and procedures.
- Be able to understand and use AHA’s Estimated Useful Lives of Depreciable Hospital Assets guidebook.
- Be able to understand all electronic Property, Plant and Equipment (PP&E), including all information technology telecommunications, network, data center, server, workstation, desktop, laptop, and tablet electronic devices and parts received on The Harris Center dock.
