The Clinical Supervisor works under the direction of the DDRP Residential Manager to support the development, communication and implementation of the policies, objectives and goals as defined in the contract with the Harris County Community Supervision and Correction Department (HCCSCD. Additionally, responsible for meeting performance and compliance standards. Provides qualitative, administrative and clinical leadership to the all clinical staff. This includes the clinical day-to-day operations, training of clinical staff, and supervision of the work performance. This position also works collaboratively with the Harris Center’s on-site Nursing Supervisor, Operations Manager, and the Clinical Team Leaders. Other collaborative partners in this position include: Gateway Foundation and their on-site staff, HCCSCD Facility Director, HCCSCD Probation Officers and Harris County Criminal Courts. This position is expected to work closely with the designated team members and stakeholders to ensure successful clinical outcomes for the patients progressing through the program. Must be able to manage and exemplify a collaborative team environment. Additionally serves as a back up to the DDRP Residential Manager in his/her absence. This position requires travel, flexible work hours and on call status.

Your Role In Action
- Plans and implements program/unit objectives in accordance with applicable policies, plans, and procedures.
- Demonstrates an understanding of and ensures compliance with TDCJ- CJAD standards and best practices.
- Monitors the delivery of appropriate services. Reviews compliance reports monthly. Creates/implements monitors corrective action plans based upon report results for clinical services
- Ensures ongoing supervision and evaluation of program/unit staff performance to facilitate optimal performance.
- Responsible for assuring that divisional productivity targets are met for staff in supervised programs/units (excluding physicians).
- Responsible for compliance with contract and agency mandatory service delivery requirements.
- Serves as a liaison in communicating relevant information between administration and program/unit staff via verbal and/or written communication, as well as external agencies/facilities specific to the operating unit.
- Works collaboratively with the Residential Manager, the Nursing Supervisor, The CSCD Facility Director and the Gateway Foundation Director to communicate relevant ongoing and timely information affecting the delivery of mental health services.
- Submits periodic reports/action plans as requested detailing critical issues and/or accomplishments of units, programs or departments
- Ensures institution of procedures/actions to follow-up on incidents/safety issues that pose a liability risk for the agency and/or have a significant impact on the quality of consumer care
- Works collaboratively with agency staff to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Works collaboratively as requested with other local and state agencies to improve operations and treatment outcomes..
- Performs related work as assigned. Adapts to changing work requirements.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
What qualifications you will need:
- Master’s degree or equivalent.
- At least three to five years management experience in a mental health setting.
- This experience should include supervising staff; working collaboratively with other disciplines, team members and stakeholders.
- Must have experience in preparing reports and making presentations.
- Knowledge about treatment modalities for a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Ability to lead others effectively in achieving organizational goals.
- Ability to train staff and resolve conflicts/issues intra and interagency teams
- Strong communication skills with ability to effectively converse and listen to other; written communication is clear, concise, well-constructed and grammatically correct.
- Ability to identify and offer solutions to resolve problems, using knowledge of the organization to identify helpful resources.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Able to utilize basic Word and Excel documents successfully.
