In addition these positions are for individuals with bar experience. This means a working knowledge of beer, cocktails, spirits, and wines. The ability to manage a bar with customers eating and drinking while handling service bar. Just because you have been behind a bar doesn't make you a bartender.
We’re looking for a lively and personable Bartender to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our bar, mixing drinks, serving guests, and creating an atmosphere that keeps folks coming back for more. Whether you’re pouring cocktails or waiting tables your energy and professionalism are of the utmost importance. The ideal candidates will be geared for hospitality, have the ability to multitask, and enjoy genuinely enjoy engaging with guests.
We are open five days a week currently. We serve dinner Wednesday through Sunday with lunches on the weekends. Bar shifts start at 2pm Wed-Fri and 10:30am Sat-Sun.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including beer, cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Use POS systems to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, maintaining accountability for all transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about drinks or menu items, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling regulations at all times.
- Support food service operations by assisting with serving food or beverages.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Uphold all health and safety standards related to alcohol service and food handling practices.
- Assist in inventory management by staying aware of stock levels of supplies, reporting shortages or issues as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in a restaurant, nightclub, or banquet setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with an outgoing personality that makes guests feel welcome and valued.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales tracking, and retail math calculations accurately.
- Experience in food industry roles involving serving and or catering.
I am aware this may sound like a lot to digest but I am simply being thorough in an effort to not waste anyone's time.
We are trying to find an interval part of a successful team. A person that genuinely likes serving food and drinks. That has the ability to make our regulars feel at home and garner new customers as well.
