Customer Service Associate - Retail

Job Summary
The Customer Service Associate will greet and interact with customers while maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude. This team member will complete sales transactions for walk-in customers and collect payment. Ensure the showroom remains clean, organized, and stocked while also keeping all sales receipts and invoices organized and properly filed. Communicate with customers when sales orders are ready for pick-up.

Duties

• Greet incoming customers with a welcoming and professional attitude.
• Answer incoming phone calls and help customers with placing sales orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a positive manner.
• Create sales receipts or invoices for walk-in customers and collect payment.
• Notify customers of completed orders and create sales receipts or invoices for the orders.
• Provide customers with the appropriate paperwork when they are picking up completed orders.
• Convert quantities on sales receipts and invoices to board feet, when applicable.
• Ensure retail items in the showroom remain stocked.
• Direct customers to the warehouse and show them where specific items are located, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is required.
• Intermediate computer skills

• Woodworking/lumber knowledge is preferred, not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
