The Harborvale in Burlington is the newest hospitality offering by Westport Hospitality, the team behind Hotel Vermont, the nationally recognized Condé Nast Traveler “Best Hotel in New England.” As Vermont’s first Autograph Collection hotel and only the third in New England, The Harborvale promises to be “Exactly Like Nothing Else.”

The Harborvale is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our newly reimagined, one-of-a-kind property located in downtown Burlington, Vermont set on the shores of Lake Champlain. The Harborvale’s story is inspired by the wonder and sense of place that Lake Champlain provides; the adventure of fresh experiences, the opportunity to reminisce about fond memories while creating new stories to share. Food and beverage is essential to the guest experience at The Harborvale, whether for slow mornings, golden evenings or everything in between, enjoying meals and drinks in the Living Room of The Harborvale.

The Pastry Cook at The Harborvale will bring their experience of exceptional quality cuisine, creativity and organization. As well, will celebrate the extraordinary guest connections this property is known for.

Core Responsibilities:

• Making breads, pastries and desserts for multiple guest services
• Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized kitchen that will exceed Health Department and brand audit standards
• Ensuring Guest Satisfaction
• Make sure all kitchen equipment is well maintained

Position Requirements:

• Has 1 Years Pastry Cook experience.
• Shows passion for local and sustainable ingredients.
• Must be able to lift #50 repeatedly during a day.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs repeatedly during a day

We are looking for a Pastry Cook that has a deep connection to food, who cooks from the heart and can show the team they really care. Someone who isn’t afraid to lend a hand wherever needed.

We offer competitive wages and benefits. The expected salary range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 based on experience and qualifications.
