Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during playtime, rest periods, and mealtimes to ensure safety and positive behavior
• Use dog handling skills to manage various temperaments, applying animal restraint techniques when necessary
• Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good manners and social skills
• Monitor dog interactions closely, intervening promptly to prevent conflicts or injuries
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including grooming stations and play zones
• Provide pet sitting services by caring for dogs when owners are away or at work
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog’s behavior, health status, and special needs

Requirements

• Must have at minimum of 1 year of industry experience handling dogs. (vet office, grooming salon, boarding/daycare work, kennel experience)
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or equipment setup
• Strong animal handling skills, including animal restraint and care techniques
• Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and visitors
• Passion for animal care combined with a responsible attitude toward safety and well-being.
• experience working with dogs required, no applicant will be considered without experience as this position requires knowledge of working with dogs.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
