Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all front desk activities, including guest registration, reservations, and check-in/check-out procedures.
- Lead and motivate the front office team to provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills.
- Oversee night audit processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth overnight operations.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and effectively, fostering positive guest relations.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests confidently.
- Support the implementation of hospitality standards and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards; maintain shifts and cover for absent/call-in shifts.
- Responsible for training, counseling, and motivating of hourly Associates in departments.
- Strict adherence and enforcement of our code of business conduct; provides disciplinary action when needed.
- Responsible for sanitation standards via monthly inspections of (minimum) 25 guest rooms, public areas, grounds, storage/work areas, and all kitchen areas.
- Responsible for payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
- Ensure proper communication and teamwork are continuous with sister properties.
- Responsible for promoting the Hotel core values: Honesty, Personal Integrity, and Team Before Self.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations, with a strong background in guest services. At least 2 years of experience as a Front Office Manager.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems is essential for smooth daily operations.
- Experience in large hotel environments is preferred to handle high-volume guest interactions seamlessly.
- Knowledge of night audit procedures and hotel accounting practices ensures accurate financial documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team with excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise.
