Speed and efficiency are imperative to the smooth operation of the kitchen and the satisfaction of our guests. Speed is needed to successfully complete all tasks, while efficiently and consistently assuring 100% guest satisfaction. The line cook will be provided with high quality products and necessary tools and equipment to complete daily duties. Responsibilities:Prepares all food items according to The Halal Guys SOP manualAssumes 100% responsibility for quality of products servedKnows and complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and proceduresStocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service periodMaintains a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, fryers, rice cooker, and refrigeration equipmentHandles, stores and rotates all products properlyAssists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as neededCloses the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations; assists others in closing the kitchenAttends all scheduled team member meetings and brings suggestions for improvementPerforms other related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or manager-on-dutyRequirements:Efficiency and speedOrganizationAbility to perform well in a fast-paced work environmentFocused on quality and pride in workAlways a team player2 years of restaurant experience, specifically grillReliable transportation to and from workPositive, honest, patient and encouraging demeanorEnergetic, super friendly and a proactive team playerAbility to lift 30 – 50 lbs regularly, bend, stoop, walk and perform other physical tasks for hours
