Retail Worker

Job Description

A Retail Worker is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with product selection, processing sales transactions, answering customer inquiries, and maintaining attractive merchandise displays. Retail workers also monitor inventory levels, restock shelves, receive deliveries, and help keep the sales floor presentable and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide product information and recommend items based on customer needs.
  • Operate cash registers and process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
  • Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly displayed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize inventory shipments.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to management.
  • Handle customer questions, concerns, and returns according to company policies.
  • Promote sales, special offers, and loyalty programs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
