Furniture Delivery Helper – Final Mile Delivery
We are hiring reliable, hardworking Furniture Delivery Helpers to join our 2-person final-mile delivery teams.
You will work alongside an experienced driver delivering furniture, mattresses, appliances, fitness equipment, and other large and bulky products to residential and commercial customers throughout North and South Carolina.
Pay: $150–$175 per day based on route and experience
Full-time | Approximately 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Assist the driver with loading, unloading, and securing freight
- Deliver furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other bulky items
- Safely carry and move heavy products into customers' homes
- Assist with Room of Choice and White Glove deliveries
- Assemble furniture and other products when required
- Assist with pickups, exchanges, returns, and haul-aways
- Protect customers' floors, walls, doors, and property while making deliveries
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Take photos and complete delivery documentation using a smartphone
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions from the driver and dispatch
- Report damage, missing items, access issues, customer concerns, or other problems immediately
Typical Route
- Work as part of a 2-person delivery team
- Approximately 10–13 stops per day
- Routes typically involve 180–350 miles per day
- Routes may travel throughout North and South Carolina
- Some routes may require early mornings, long days, or overnight travel
- Coastal and Outer Banks routes may require overnight/2-day trips
Requirements
- Must be dependable and consistently show up as scheduled
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy/bulky products
- Comfortable working inside customers' homes
- Professional appearance and customer-service attitude
- Able to work well as part of a 2-person team
- Comfortable with basic furniture/product assembly
- Smartphone with reliable data service
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to meet access requirements for U.S. military installations when required
- Previous furniture delivery, moving, warehouse, appliance delivery, or similar experience is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position. You will regularly be required to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb stairs, and maneuver large or heavy products through residential and commercial spaces.
