Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables and organizing supplies when needed.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage dish flow during peak hours and special events.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, food handling practices, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or moving supplies.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinery is a plus but not mandatory.
