Job Summary
Our All-Star Cheer team is looking for a Part-Time Cheer Coach! We have two young squads competing in Level 1. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead cheerleading practices, foster team spirit, and promote a fun, safe environment for children and teens. With a minimum of one year of coaching or related experience, you will play a vital part in building confidence, teamwork, and athletic skills among your students. This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a positive impact while sharing their love for cheerleading and sports.
Duties
- Plan and execute engaging cheerleading practices that develop routines, stunts, and team cohesion
- Teach cheerleading techniques, safety protocols, and proper physical form to students of various ages and skill levels
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, and confidence-building activities
- Manage behavior and motivate students to stay focused and committed during practices and performances
- Assist in organizing cheerleading events, competitions, and performances to showcase team achievements
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely by adhering to safety guidelines and injury prevention measures
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, attendance, and behavior
Experience
- Minimum of one year experience in sports coaching, cheerleading, or related physical activity instruction
- Background in cheerleading or gymnastics is highly desirable; experience with stunt work or routine choreography is a plus
- Prior experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or recreational setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and focus during activities
