We have an exciting opportunity for a Day Porter/Special Projects (Maintenance/Custodian) to join our team of talented professionals within our Southgate Properties team.
This position is responsible for assuring that all building systems are functioning properly and in accordance with all applicable health, safety, fire, city and other codes and licensing regulations. S/he will split time between scheduled custodial responsibilities, on-demand services for both environmental services, light maintenance task, event set-ups and basic labor services as needed. Hourly, non-exempt position. Regular working schedule is expected to be Monday through Friday, daytime hours, although Agency and program needs will occasionally require evening, weekend or holiday hours including the potential for emergency on-call work.

Requirements
- At least a High School diploma or GED; some coursework or related certifications preferred.
- Essential functions of the position require the ability to follow instructions, lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, squat, bend and reach repetitively throughout a 7.5-hour shift.
- Candidate should have more than 1 year of commercial experience in a custodial or maintenance-oriented position doing custodial tasks, floorcare, installing ceiling tiles, minor plumbing, furniture and fixture assembly and event set-ups. Preference for experience working with maintenance reporting software, climate control and lighting systems.
- Must have a current driver’s license, a good driving record and reliable transportation to travel swiftly between locations.
- Must have computer and organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and with others.
