Clinical Consultant Ph.D. Psychologist Role:
This role involves individual and group clinical consultation with staff and student interns. Additional responsibilities may include participation in crisis response, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and agency workgroups. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but actual hours may be adjusted based on consumer and program needs. Clinical Consultant Ph.D. Psychologist Role:
This role involves individual and group clinical consultation with staff and student interns. Additional responsibilities may include participation in crisis response, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and agency workgroups. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but actual hours may be adjusted based on consumer and program needs. This position can be filled as a full-time or part-time contractual role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group clinical consultation with staff.
- Participate in the clinical supervision and oversight of student interns, including adherence to college and university best practice standards.
- Conduct clinical chart reviews and provide oversight using the Electronic Health Record (PCE).
- Maintain written records necessary for clinical supervision as defined in the policy and procedural manual.
- Assist with crisis and trauma debriefing related to staff involved in agency and/or community events.
- Participate in DEI initiatives.
- Lead or participate in workgroups/trainings on various clinical projects.
- Review and interpret the results of psychological evaluations with interns and staff.
- Complete 25 hours of program or position-specific training annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Valid LP in Psychology with the State of Michigan.
- At least five years of experience in examining, evaluating, and treating adults, children, and families.
- Adequate knowledge of the community mental health service delivery system.
- Experience with individual and group clinical consultation and supervision.
- Preferably experienced in mentoring student interns.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to assess and intervene within complex family and community systems.
- Willingness to be flexible, patient, and creative.
- Experience with testing instruments, including WAIS, WISC, Vineland, ADOS, and ADIR.
- Ability to develop relationships and work collaboratively with administrators and staff.
- Candidate must obtain Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP), and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credentials within 120 days of hire.
- MDHHS Central Registry and Police clearance required.
- Current valid driver's license in favorable standing required.
