CSS Director

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a CSS Director to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. The CSS Director oversees all Community Support Services (CSS) programs across a three-county region, providing leadership and operational management. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered, evidence-based services that meet CCBHC standards, supports staff development, maintains regulatory compliance, and promotes coordinated, recovery-focused care for adults with serious mental illness. Evenings Required (1 days per week after 5 p).

• Competitive salary of $105,029 to $110,179; depending upon qualifications.

Primary Duties:

1. Provide leadership and oversight for all CSS programs across the three-county region, including ACT, IPS, TCM/CM, Housing, and Adult Psychosocial services, Peer Support, NFMH Specialized Services and other programs assigned.

2. Ensure all services meet CCBHC standards, state regulations, and agency clinical guidelines.

3. Oversee treatment planning processes and ensure ongoing evaluation and adjustment of client services.

4. Maintain current knowledge of Kansas requirements for CSS populations and communicate updates to staff.

5. Monitor program performance, consumer needs, and satisfaction; implement improvements as needed.

6. Ensure fidelity to evidence-based models such as ACT, IPS, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation.

7. Provide supervision, coaching, and performance oversight for CSS staff including onboarding and orientation for new staff.

8. Address performance concerns promptly and support staff development and training.

9. Ensure documentation meets standards for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

10. Maintain active oversight of supervisees’ work to ensure corporate compliance and treatment quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMLP, LCP, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, or LSCSW by the first day of employment.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Three years’ experience in a supervisory or management position in a mental health setting and a minimum of three years’ clinical experience in a mental health setting.

Preferred: experience in the Kansas Community Mental Health System.
