We are seeking a highly talented
Environmental Intern
to join our EHS team at our
Assumption, Illinois
headquarters for the Summer of 2026.
This is a paid, full-time internship during the summer. Students are required to work 40 hours per week onsite at our office in Assumption from tentatively Wednesday, May 27 th through Friday, July 31 st (dependent upon summer housing dates, could start earlier and/or end later).
Your Impact
- Conduct regulatory environmental audits
- Support environmental compliance programs
- Develop and implement various written environmental programs
- Review and develop specific training programs
- Support Industrial Hygiene Studies
Your Experience And Qualifications
- Enrollment in a degree program on environmental, health and safety or related field, preferably in engineering.
- Must be registered as a full-time student
- Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Preferably have completed one or more internships and/or have working experience (e.g. part time job)
Your Compensation And Benefits
Expected hourly wage for this role will be $ / hour. This is dependent upon year in school.
Benefits will include complimentary housing located at The Woods housing complex at Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
