Preschool Teacher (Pre-K) | Full-Time | The Growing Patch Academy
The Growing Patch Academy is seeking a reliable, organized, and engaging Preschool (Pre-K) Teacher to join our team and provide a high-quality learning experience for children ages 3–5.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, maintains strong classroom structure, and can confidently manage a classroom while preparing children for kindergarten readiness.
This role is ideal for someone who is professional, dependable, team-oriented, and experienced in creating a structured and nurturing classroom environment.
Position Details
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Monday–Friday
- Operating hours between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Pay based on experience and qualifications
- In-person position
Responsibilities
- Maintain active supervision and ensure child safety at all times
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and daily schedules
- Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and classroom ratios
- Implement Lillio and FunShine Express curriculum daily
- Lead circle time, structured learning activities, and classroom centers
- Support kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and independence skills
- Plan engaging classroom activities, holiday crafts, and enrichment opportunities
- Lead outdoor play, structured games, and park walks safely
- Maintain accurate child portfolios, observations, and documentation
- Communicate daily with families regarding student progress and behavior
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences professionally
- Participate in Preschool Graduation and school-wide events
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate positively with assistants, staff, and administration
- Attend all required meetings, trainings, and teacher in-service days
Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed preschool or childcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management
- Ability to work independently and within classroom ratios
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
- PATCH Registry preferred or ability to obtain
