We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to join our team and help support the development of young children through play-based learning and positive interactions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, snacks, toileting, and rest periods.
- Foster positive social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with provider regarding children's daily activities and progress.
- Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Preferred:
- CPR and First Aid Certification. (We provide CPR and First Aid Training, if not already attained)
- Knowledge of New York State childcare regulations.
