Expo and Front of House Manager

Description

The Grove’s Hub Ministry creates an inviting environment for visitors, church members and guests. The Hub Coffee Bar is a fun and fast paced coffee shop and cafe that provides excellent service during busy times at the church. We are looking for a ministry minded leader with strong communication and coordination skills, excellent attention to detail, familiar with restaurant operations, loves a fast-paced environment and strives under pressure!

Reports to:       Hub Café & Coffee Bar Manager

Works with:     Hub employees, baristas and volunteers

Works:              Part-time, hourly, 28 hours/week, including mid-week mornings and weekend shifts

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT – 45%              

• Mentor, train and supervise front of house staff, including coffee bar staff and volunteers; done in collaboration with Lead Baristas.
• Manage team performance and compliance with SOPs to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Support and carry out the vision, policies and decisions of the Hub Cafe & Coffee Bar Manger.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Manage expediter position during operational hours.
• Keeps clear communication between the front and back of the house during operational hours.

OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT – 40% 

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and food items, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Utilize POS (Square) Software to maintain, update, create and modify menus, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Manage inventory and keep communication between management of inventory.
• Collaborate with team on specials menu and display signage for communication.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Control costs and minimize waste.
• Reconcile accounts as needed weekly with the Hub Coffee Bar and Cafe Manager.

OTHER – 15%                                               

• Attend team meetings, all staff meetings, staff devotions, and training.
• Join church all-staff meetings and devotions when available.
• Attend any mandatory training.
• Model Biblical principles in interactions with staff, church attendees, and event attendees.
