Position Overview
This Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall comfort of guest rooms, common areas and event space. This role ensures that every space reflects the property standards of quality, hospitality, and attention to detail. In a boutique setting, the housekeeper plays a vital part in shaping the guest experience through consistency, care, and pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
· Clean and reset guest rooms according to hotel standards.
· Make beds, change linens, and replace towels.
· Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
· Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
· Restock amenities such as toiletries, coffee, water, and linens.
· Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report them promptly
· Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and shared spaces.
· Clean and organize housekeeping closets and storage areas.
· Assist with laundry duties as needed (washing, drying, folding, stocking).
· Follow all cleaning protocols, including sanitation and chemical‑handling procedures.
· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
· Report lost and found items according to hotel policy.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Greet guests warmly when encountered in hallways or rooms.
· Respond to guest requests professionally and promptly.
· Communicate special needs or guest preferences to management.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
· Ability to work independently and efficiently.
· Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
· Physical ability to lift, bend, push carts, and stand for extended periods.
· Reliability and strong time‑management skills.
· Experience in hotels, inns, or boutique properties.
· Familiarity with eco‑friendly cleaning products and practices.
