Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Position Summary:
The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently looking for a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our clinical leadership team. In this role, you will partner with the Director of Nursing to help lead day-to-day nursing operations, promote high standards of care, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations within our skilled nursing environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily clinical functions
- Provide guidance, supervision, and support to nursing staff
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality resident care
- Monitor adherence to federal, state, and facility regulations and standards
- Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement programs
- Assist with infection prevention and control efforts
- Support onboarding, education, and ongoing staff development
- Audit clinical records and care plans for completeness and accuracy
- Help prepare for state surveys and participate in corrective action planning
- Respond to and resolve resident and family concerns in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Solid understanding of CMS guidelines and state regulations
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the facility
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
