What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW) position at The Groden Center?
Schedule: 40 hours per week in-person (weekdays, flexible hours)
Salary: $75,000- $90,000 (based on licensure, education & experience)
20 hours per week with Early Intervention: Coordination and provision of Early Intervention services including: working with children from ages birth to three and their families, monitoring social emotional development of children, arranging materials to facilitate resources and support, and consulting with Groden EI staff, families and other EI agencies on social emotional and mental health strategies and goals. Also responsible for documenting services and participating in EIP team meetings.
20 hours per week with Children’s Community Based Programs: Serving as an outpatient clinician serving children, adolescents, families and/or adults with a variety of challenges. Historically, Groden has provided high quality services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Groden Outpatient remains dedicated to serving individuals with autism and developmental disabilities and will expand services to provided quality and accessible services to individuals who encounter challenges including anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and more! You would maintain and active caseload and meet set productivity requirements. Providing high quality outpatient therapy would be needed using empirically based practices with timely documentation. Opportunity to lead groups and/or provide evaluations are encouraged but not required. Attend and contribute to monthly outpatient meetings.

Job Duties:
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of behavioral functioning, developmental status and communicative functioning of the children in EI, aged birth to three
- Uphold and comply with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for employees, consumers, family members and visitors
- Provide service coordination, essential functions and primary therapy in a center, community, and a home-based settings to achieve goals in all necessary areas
- Maintain a positive, reinforcing and communicative approach towards children, families, team members, and professionals from other agencies. Share information on child's progress with families and other professionals
- Focus on the whole child within the family system, ensuring that social, emotional, and environmental needs are addressed so the child can fully benefit from early intervention services
- Conduct informal and formal trainings on program suggestions and strategies for implementation of social work outcomes for Groden EI staff, interns/volunteers, and families
- Assist new staff with learning job responsibilities by modeling job duties, answering questions and providing ongoing communications
Education, Experience and Special Skills:
- State of Rhode Island licensure in LCSW or LICSW required
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) OR; a Doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work Required
- Three years or more experience with individuals who have autism/developmental disabilities
- Communication in a manner that is audible and legible
- Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, automobile insurance and own vehicle to be used
- Must be First Aid/CPR certified and maintain annual re-certification (We can train if needed)
