Window and Door Lead Installer

The Grizzly Difference Windows & Doors is hiring an experienced Lead Window & Door Installer to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in quality work, and can lead a crew while keeping jobs running smooth from start to finish. This position is for someone who understands that installs need to be done right, on time, and with attention to detail. 

This is not a “just show up and swing a hammer” position. We need a leader who can guide helpers, communicate clearly, solve problems on site, and make sure each job meets company standards.

Please note that this is a strictly TRAVEL position where you may be asked to travel any one of the 50 states. Our technicians can work and travel from 1-2 weeks at a time. Transportation and stay costs will be covered by the company.

Responsibilities 

• Lead a crew on window and door installation projects 
• Make sure jobs are completed correctly, safely, and on time 
• Keep things running smoothly on site 
• Read job details, review measurements, and understand scope of work 
• Measure, fit, and install various types of windows and doors 
• Assist with new install, retrofit, multifamily, and project-based work 
• Perform clean, professional caulking, sealing, trim, and finish work 
• Complete custom trim coil wrapping when needed 
• Use a siding brake confidently and safely 
• Guide and train entry-level helpers/laborers 
• Keep job sites organized and clean 
• Communicate with office staff, supervisors, customers, and crew members as needed 
• Travel out of town is REQUIRED 
• Represent The Grizzly Difference Windows & Doors professionally on every job 

Required Skills & Experience 

Qualified applicants should have experience with: 

• Window and door installation 
• Caulking and sealing 
• Interior and exterior trim work 
• Framing and opening adjustments 
• Custom trim coil wrapping 
• Using a siding brake 
• Measuring, fitting, and installing different types of windows 
• Leading or helping lead a crew on job sites 
• Problem-solving in the field 
• Working safely and efficiently 

Requirements 

• Must have prior window and door installation experience 
• Must be reliable and punctual 
• Must be able to lead a crew and keep jobs moving 
• Must take pride in quality workmanship 
• Must be able to work in the Arizona summer heat 
• Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy materials 
• Must be comfortable working at heights 
• Must be able to stand, bend, climb, carry, and work on your feet for extended periods 
• Must have reliable transportation to the warehouse 
• Must be able to travel out of town when required 
• Must be drug-free — pre-employment drug testing is required 
• Must be willing to work with helpers and support their growth in the trade 
• Must have a strong work ethic and professional attitude 

Travel Requirements 

Some out-of-town travel is required. Trips may sometimes only be a couple of days, but can range from 1–2 weeks, depending on the project. 

When working out of town: 

• Lodging is provided 
• Travel is provided 

Reliable transportation to the warehouse is required. 

Pay & Schedule 

• Pay: Based on experience 
• Hours: 32–45 hours per week 
• Overtime may be available depending on workload and travel schedule 
• Immediate hire for the right candidate
