What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Takeout position at The Grille at The Bridges?
We are looking for friendly, dependable, and organized individuals to join our Front of House team as Host / Take-Out Specialists at both Ambrosia at Lotus Edge and Cut-5 at Boca Bridges.
This is an important guest-facing position and often the first and last interaction our guests have with our restaurant. The ideal candidate is welcoming, professional, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to balance great hospitality with attention to detail.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities Include:
- Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive
- Provide friendly, professional service both in person and over the phone
- Manage the host stand and assist with restaurant seating
- Maintain an organized and accurate waitlist when necessary
- Coordinate seating with servers and management to help maintain a smooth flow of service
- Answer incoming restaurant phone calls professionally
- Assist guests with reservations, general restaurant questions, and take-out orders
- Accurately enter take-out orders into the POS system
- Communicate special requests, modifications, and allergy information clearly to the kitchen
- Carefully check completed take-out orders for accuracy and presentation
- Package and organize take-out orders, including appropriate sauces, condiments, utensils, and other requested items
- Process guest payments accurately
- Coordinate take-out pickup and ensure orders are delivered to the correct guest
- Communicate estimated pickup times and any delays professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and take-out areas
- Keep menus and other Front of House materials clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Assist with light Front of House duties during slower periods
- Work closely with servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to provide a seamless guest experience
- Handle guest questions or concerns professionally and involve a manager when appropriate
- Help create a welcoming, polished, and hospitality-focused atmosphere for our residents and guests

Compensation
$16–$18 per hour, based on experience, plus additional tips
