Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere from the moment they walk in.
• Present menus and assist guests with menu selections, including recommendations and upselling to enhance their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently by prioritizing tasks and maintaining excellent time management throughout your shift.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other digital platforms.
• Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing genuine suggestions tailored to guest preferences.
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy at all times.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and fostering positive guest relations.
• Support sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment such as fine dining or nightclub settings to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and optimize seating arrangements.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cashiering and cash handling is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with guests and team members alike.
• Basic math skills for accurate order entry, bill calculation, and cash transactions.
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in hospitality settings such as restaurants or nightclubs.
