BARTENDER Full and Part Time

The Position: 

Lake Toxaway at our front door, the North Carolina mountains at our back door. And in between, a gathering place and restaurant for our guests. As a Bartender at The Greystone Inn, you are the face of our bar area, creating a fun and welcoming environment for our patrons. If you are reliable, work with a sense of urgency, and interact well with customers, you will be very successful in “wow”ing our guests.

Additional responsibilities include: 

·      Provide friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel valued 

·      Having a thorough knowledge of our food and beverage menus, making suggestions and producing quality drinks

·      Staying up to date with beverage trends

·      Building good rapport with our regulars, keeping relationships professional and personalized

·      Opening and closing responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

·      21 or older

·      Experienced in one year or more of bartending experience

·      Working well in a team setting, including with other employees including front and back end of the house

·      Good sense of judgment and assessment in ability to interact with customers who are drinking

·      Keen aware of surroundings and observational skills

·      Good communication skills 

.       Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities

·      Ability to stand throughout shift and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.

·      Ability to navigate steps/stairs on a regular basis
