About The Opportunity
The Greentree Group employees are truly valued and treated with respect. We need a talented individual to fill a potential role as an Information System Engineer (ISSE) in support of a federal client in the Colorado Springs, CO area. The successful candidate will be responsible for several activities, including, but not limited to:
- Providing cybersecurity advice and guidance to government stakeholders and contract team
- Supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) cybersecurity reviews, identify gaps, and support and execute risk management plans
- Implementing robust security controls with software engineering methodologies, principles, secure design, architecture, and coding techniques
- Assessing system vulnerabilities and developing and maintaining security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detections systems, and encryption technologies to mitigate risks
- Conducting security and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in security protocols
- Advising system engineers on methods to remediate vulnerabilities using security scanning tools
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or 5 years’ experience).
- Familiarity with DoDI 5000.02 (Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework) and NIST SP 800-1602v1 (System Security Engineering)
- Active DoD 8140 IAM Level III certification (CISM, CISSO, FITSP-D, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GDSA, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, or CISSP-ISSEP)
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance investigation in a timely manner
- Experience with batch scripting
- Experience with Cloud security planning, design, and operations
