We're seeking a dynamic, creative and energetic media sales representative to sell newspaper and website ads, and digital marketing products throughout Greeneville and surrounding area. You'll help local and regional businesses gain new customers, while making a difference in the community by supporting local news and journalism.
A successful candidate must be outgoing and one who brings great ideas to a wide variety of retailers and business professionals, helping them increase sales. Candidates must be energetic and eager to seek new business. You are paid a base wage plus commission.
Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, basic understanding of marketing principles, strong written and verbal skills in addition to a positive attitude. Reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Make outside sales presentations and face-to-face consultations with key decision makers
- Ability to work with local clients to learn objectives and opportunities
- Prospecting local markets to continuously fill sales pipeline and open new accounts
- Fearless cold-calling and lead generation
- Sale of print and digital marketing solutions for The Newport Plain Talk, magazines, newsletters, websites, email and digital products.
- Oversight of client campaigns and regular communication of performance results
- Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
- Maintaining client data base, account information, scheduling of appointments, prospecting calls and next steps in sales process.
