Bonus will be paid out upon completion of 90 days of employment with total net amount paid after taxes.

Job Summary

The Bucket Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a tree care crew, ensuring smooth and effective job execution. This role is responsible for safety, productivity, quality control, crew oversight, and equipment operation related to tree trimming and pruning services.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Safety - Ensure that all safety policies of company are enforced
• Operate bucket truck and aerial lift equipment in a safe and compliant manner
• Perform daily equipment inspections and job hazard analysis prior to starting work
• Ensure proper use of PPE, rigging, and safety procedures by all crew members
• Monitor Daily Crew Performance to meet quality expectations and company standards
• Supervise and direct 1–2 grounds men in daily operations
• Train and support crew members in proper tree care techniques and equipment use
• Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal work in accordance with company standards
• Ensure proper rigging and lowering techniques to prevent damage to property
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and ensure thorough job site cleanup
• Help identify labor, equipment and supply needs for daily operations
• Drive Productivity by maintaining efficient workflow and job completion
• Report job progress, issues, or safety concerns to management
• Perform basic maintenance and care of bucket truck, tools, and equipment
• Monitor and request tool and supply needs
• Ensure vehicles, equipment and yards are kept clean and well maintained

Education And Experience

• Prior tree care, landscape, or related experience required
• Experience operating a bucket truck or aerial lift required
• A minimum of one to three years of crew leadership or related experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working at heights and able to safely use fall protection equipment, including harnesses
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card
• Prolonged periods standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
