The ideal candidate will be engaging, organized, and confident in managing classrooms for students ranging from grade 9-12. They will be able to step into a wide variety of classrooms and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
Highly responsive to phone calls/text messages for unplanned coverage needs.
Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher in a clear and engaging manner.
Manage classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.
Communicate effectively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
Supervise students in the classroom, hallway, and outdoor settings (as needed).
Follow school policies and procedures to help ensure student well-being.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of college required.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different grade levels and teaching styles.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Prior teaching or classroom experience is desirable.
Commitment to supporting the TGS mission of inspiring academic and personal excellence.
Proficiency with instructional technology including interactive whiteboards, web-based learning software, and Google apps or willingness to learn.
