Essential Job Functions

Position: Truck Driver

Department:  Motor Services

Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)

·         Provide service as needed within Trucking Department (i.e. Sanitary Service, Warehouse Delivery Service, Food Service and Car Washing), and other Trucking Services as needed.

·         Provide customer service as needed

·         Perform daily vehicle inspections per DOT guidelines

·         Follow all DOT rules and regulations

Secondary Responsibilities:

·         Able to perform additional duties during emergency situations

·         Required to assume duties of all positions in motor services off season

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)

·         40 hours per week, days off varies

·         Weekends and holidays

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)

·         Customer service experience preferred

·         Work in Transportation/Logistics Industry a plus

Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)

·         High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)

·         Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

·         Ability to communicate well with guest        

·         Must relate well with guest

·         Maintain good working relationship with hotel staff

·         Ability to provide a 5-Star atmosphere

Technical Requirements:  

·         CDL (Class B) required

·         Passenger endorsement required

·         Ability to drive standard transmission

·         Knowledge of regional area (Roanoke, Beckley, Charleston, Washington, and Richmond)

·         Ability to read a map
