The Green School is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Camp Counselors / Assistant Teacher to help lead an unforgettable hands-on camp experience! Our camp combines farm life, animal care, and exciting nature-inspired art projects for children ages 3-10. Staff are responsible for creating a safe, educational, and fun environment that sparks curiosity and connection to the natural world.
The Green School is located on a 5-acre sustainable farm. The children learn through hands on discovery & animal interaction taking care of the many farm animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage a group of campers in daily farm and art activities
- Lead or assist in art projects using natural and recycled materials
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages creativity, empathy, and teamwork
- Educate campers about farm life, sustainability, and animal care in age-appropriate way
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be at least college level or mature
- Strong experience working with children and/or animals preferred
- Creative, energetic, and reliable with a love for the outdoors
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Able to work outside and be on their feet for long periods of time
- Plus if you are comfortable walking horses
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time.
Pay: $25.00 per hour and up based on experience.
Schedule: 4-8 hour shift.
