Associate, Business Development – Renewable Energy & Infrastructure
A leading energy transition platform backed by a major global investment firm is seeking an Associate, Business Development to support the underwriting, acquisition, and execution of utility-scale renewable energy, storage, and digital infrastructure projects across the U.S.
This role will work cross-functionally with teams spanning asset management, finance, legal, and energy markets, supporting project commercialization efforts and strategic transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support transaction execution for utility-scale solar, storage, and digital infrastructure acquisitions, dispositions, and partnerships
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for project underwriting and investment analysis
- Conduct due diligence and support negotiation of transaction documentation
- Assist with investment committee and board approval materials
- Support analysis of major project contracts including offtake, EPC, financing, and commercial agreements
- Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to evaluate project economics and risk
- Translate commercial contract terms into dynamic financial models
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of professional experience, including exposure to utility-scale renewable energy or storage projects
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or another quantitative field
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including project finance structures
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
