Responsibilities
- Provide personalized product recommendations and conduct product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
- Assist customers navigating the POS (Point of Sale) system for smooth transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are appealing and accessible.
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and recording product movements accurately.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering guidance on product effects, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls from customers or vendors.
Requirements
- Prior retail sales experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos within a grocery store or similar retail environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory management.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, regulations, and safety protocols is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings in a fast-paced environment.
