Position Qualifications

• Must have a CDA or Enrolled in a CDA program
• Some college course work, preferably in early childhood education or working towards acollege degree in early childhood education

Positions Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping in keeping equipment and materials in good condition so as to encourage maximum use by the children
• Responsible for the supervision of all the children
• Remain in the classroom with and is attentive to the children at all times while working onan activity which has been given to you by your Head Teacher
• Responsible for meeting on a weekly or biweekly basis with Head Teacher to discussand review NAEYC standards and upcoming events, and any needs and concerns withinthe classroom
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a sound working relationship with all staffmembers
• Must attend and participate in Staff Meetings and Team Meetings
• Share and discuss only positive information with parents about their children
• Responsible for meeting with your team weekly to discuss strengths and weakness inyour classroom to carry out its functions, policies, and procedures
• Responsible for working cooperatively with all staff members
• Attend and participate in professional meetings and conferences which promote educational advancement, new research and methods and share ideas and techniques in working with young children
• Responsible for helping in organizing classroom environment where
• Ability to establish warm and supportive relationships with children and their families
• Develop awareness of behavior and growth development of children
• Expected to never punish (no time-outs), aggressively handle and/or verbally ridiculechild(ren)'s ability or lack thereof
• Expected to always have toddlers within sight and sound at all times
• Expected to always interact with children
• Expected to speak with children at a child's eye level, and use a positive, soft tone of Expected not to drink hot beverages, or smoke in front of the children, parents or on school grounds. WE ARE A SMOKE-FREE FACILITY.
• Expected to refrain from gossip regarding school procedures and policies, staff members, children and/or parents alike.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
