We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will assist in menu planning, food handling, and preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure consistency in food quality.
• Help with menu planning by suggesting seasonal ingredients and creative ideas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques at all times.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
• Support the culinary team in various tasks as needed, including cooking simple dishes or assisting with plating.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food preparation role within the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and food preparation.
• Must be able to follow directions accurately and manage time effectively during busy shifts.
